Cosmetic Dentist Dallas – Having A Beautiful and White Smile

Many times we put our oral health and the condition of our teeth at the bottom of our list of things to focus on.  Most of the time it is for 3 basic reasons:

  • The fear of pain
  • The fear of the expense
  • Fear that the doctor want listen to them

Let’s face it, most people have anxiety over the thought of going to the dentist.  This stems from bad experiences as a child to the portrayal of painful dentistry in the movies.  Whatever the reason it is real to those who experience it.  So let us try to put you at ease.

Dental Advancements in Technology

Over the past several years, there have been huge strides made in dental treatments.  This includes patient comfort.  Dental sedation is now available in most offices that will help you relax while procedures are being done.  I know what you are thinking though.  What about those shots?  It’s the shots that scare us.  We just hate the thought of having that needle put into our gums.  Well there is good news there also.  We now have a gel that can be rubbed on the gums to numb up the area where the shots will be given and the taste is great too.

Our goal in our office is to provide you with an anxiety free experience.  We want you to communicate with us and let us know your concerns so we can address them and let you have a calming and comfortable experience.

Dental Expense

Another reason that people stay out of the dentist office is the fear of the expense.  Everybody believes that dentistry is expensive.  That can be true if you don’t take care of your teeth.  One way to keep down on the cost of dentistry and incurring large expense is by having regular checkups and cleanings.  When we think about the cost of a cleaning, at the time we think we think we can just pass but believe us when we tell you that the cost of a cleaning can save you spending thousands down the road.  You have heard the old saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.  When it comes to your oral health, nothing could be more true.

There are several ways to pay for your dentistry.  Some pay cash, others have insurance that pays for somethings but hardly ever pays for cosmetic procedures and then there are credit options.  That may be paying with a credit card or something like care credit.  If you don’t know what you can do to pay for your dentistry, then we have a qualified staff that can talk with you about your options and explain in detail what can be done to help you make better decisions about paying for dentistry.

The Doctor Want Listen To Me

The third biggest fear a person has about going to the dentist is that the doctor will not listen to their concerns or fears.  Most feel that the doctor is going to act like they are listening but will end up ignoring them and doing what they want anyway.  That’s not true at Borowoski Cosmetic Dentistry.  We want to listen to you because you and your oral health are important to us.  We want to help prevent problems with your teeth and gums because your oral health is directly tied to your overall health.

Science has proven that there is a link between gum disease and heart disease.  They have actually found the same bacteria that is in your mouth and gums in the areas around the heart.  The bacteria travels there when we don’t take care of our gums.

Cosmetic Dentist Dallas Texas Smile Enhancement

For one reason or another, you may be embarrassed about your smile or you may have gone through some traumatic event that has affected your smile.  Whatever the reason, a cosmetic dentist can help correct these issues.

For years there were only certain treatments that could be done and that was it.  However, advancements in dentistry have led to the ability to completely restore a persons smile to a natural and beautiful look.

For those with missing teeth and who don’t want dentures, we have dental implants.  Implants are placed where missing teeth were and are a permanent solution to missing teeth.  These implants look like your natural teeth and are made out of titanium with a porcelain crown placed on top of them.  The result is breath taking.

For those with slightly crooked, misshapen, stained, chipped or cracked teeth, we have porcelain veneers.  Veneers are very thin pieces of porcelain that are crafted to fit right over the surface of your existing tooth or teeth. They can even be used to close gaps in the teeth.  Veneers are very strong and can last for many years if taken care of properly.  They also can be color matched in order to have a natural looking smile.

I have crooked teeth but the idea of long treatment periods and metal in my mouth are not a pleasant thought.  How Can you help?

This is a common question asked in our office a lot and there is a solution.  The treatment option that we offer for this is called “Six Month Smiles.”  Like the name suggest, the typical treatment period is only 6 months.  The brackets are clear and the wires are tooth colored.  From a conversational distance, they pretty much cannot be seen.  The way the work is they only straighten the front teeth that are seen when a person smiles.  There is no manipulation of all the teeth which shortens the time for getting a straight smile.  Six Month Smiles also cost less than traditional braces or Invisalign treatment.

Zoom whitening has also become very popular in our office.  Teeth whitening is still the most requested cosmetic dental procedure.  There is nothing like a whiter smile for improving self-confidence.
